Final Piece- Remember Me
This is it! My final piece called 'Remember Me' for my 3rd photography project. I hope you enjoy it!
P.S It's better to view it as it is instead of full screen because of the quality after I uploaded it onto the internet.

SNEAK PEEK!
I have all my photos for my final piece for my 'remember me' project BUT I won't show the final video until after the half term. I have decided to show you just one of my pictures (one of my favourites!) from the final piece.

Fire and Ice
I was lucky enough to wake up to bright sunshine this morning and it was the perfect chance to get some pictures of the snow in the sun!

Exam Project!
I have just got my exam paper and title that I will be working from until May. The title is: Ordinary and Extra ordinary and I will produce a sketch book based on it and then a final response which I will create during a 10 hour exam.
I'm excited to get started but a bit nervous because it is the final project and worth 40% of my grade BUT i have no doubt that it will be a lot of fun.
It's sad to think this will be my last project in photography GCSE but I plan to continue doing workshops etc. outside of school and maybe choose Art multi media at A level so that I can develop my skills further!
Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far,
Emily

The Little Egret
This rare little egret made his first appearance, at Bridge house, last Christmas when we spotted him fishing in the river whilst eating our Christmas dinner. This year he appeared early but getting a picture of him wasn't easy!

Accidental Miracle
This photo is a print screen of the photo of Lydia and Cathy on my blog. The Internet connection was being slow (like normal) and a repeated pattern of the photo appeared on my screen when I tried to scroll down. I saw how cool it looked and quickly print screened it. I then cropped it and rotated it
strangely pleased with the random outcome and it pays to be observant!
Weekly photo
The late Harvest(The grainy grain harvest)
taken in -an ISO of 1600 for a grainy, colourful effect.
- a shorter shutterspeed to focus on the lights and the fact it was evening
Reflective Log: Lesson on 02/11/2011
Today we talked about the upcoming mock exam which all the year 10 photography students will be sitting towards the end of this month. The exam will last over two whole school days and any preparation like taking photos can be done in advance. The idea of the exam is to produce a narrative and film of still and moving image to create a story based on 'Remember Me'. Miss is encouraging us to use photos that we have already taken and use our imagination to come up with a story line. I have a few ideas but I'm not going to try and come up with anymore untill next lesson where we will get the chance to plan our ideas.
Today I also continued to produce more Mari Mahr style images using an old family photo.
This is my favourite:
I also took time to take a photo of the celing and Cathy and Lydia doing there sketchbook work whilst I stood on the table

Jelly Architecture
I spent another day at the U.E.A but this time we made a city out of jelly. After planning and making the town, we then lit it up as if it were a city at night. I took the opportunity to take some pictures but I think I under estimated how hard it would actually be to produce a decent picture.
my part of the city was on the outskirts and on the coast. I based it on the bustling night life in Ibiza with sand, sea (with a jelly boat), nightclubs, palm tree, plenty of people and lots of hotel accommodation.
This is a good night view of the whole city!

Reflective Log: Lesson on 19/10/2011
Today I finished off some of my sketchbook work. If I'm honest I didn't get much done because of feeling under the weather but I have progressed. I was going to make some solarised images from my negatives but considering I was finding it hard to concentrate probably made it something to do another day.
I do wish I got more done!

Reflective log: Lesson on 12/10/2011
Today I used some of my previous images to take photos in the style of Mari Mahr. I went out to find some objects to make an interesting composition. I found a flower, some berries and I borrowed a lipstick from my teacher. I found a suitible picture and printed it off.
I arranged the objects on the picture so that it was a believable picture with an abstract twist. I used the flower as a parosol, the lipstick was standing against the tree and the berries were apples in the tree.
I wish I had more time to do more but I will do some in my free time and keep my blog posted!
